Another glorious morning here, 27 and probably rising, bright blue sky.

Our adopted cat Raggy is spending all night (usual) and all day (unusual) out of doors, sunbathing but in the shade, with occasional forays into the kitchen to see if any goodies have appeared in its bowls. It usually has milk, but the milk has been turning to yogurt in a few hours in the heat, so it's being restricted to water.

Despite the heat, dinner today is to be fish, Morrisons last nigh had 4 ready-breadcrumbed fillets of Alaskan pollack, only 25p last-minute reduced from £4, with home-made chips and mushy peas.

And it's Friday, I get an hour allocated to visit my grandson this afternoon, so that's about 4:30, I need to make his goody bag up, a packet of crisps, couple of chocolate biscuits and a handful of Cadburys roses. And an avocado for my son, he loves them.

  1. Hello! I came by to return the blog visit and thank you for commenting on mine. One of our cats has decided to spend almost all his time outdoors too, but I think it's because he doesn't like the new screen door. He either sits there and stares until I have to pick him up and carry him in, or he dashes through like a bullet. Strange creatures, cats.

    1. Yes, very strange little animals. This one was living in the greenhouse when we moved in 3 years ago, none of the neigbours had seen it before. It took 3 weeks until it jumped on the window cill and looked in, another week to jump through the opened window, about 6 months until it realised we weren't going to harm it, a year to discover the joys of lying in front of a nice fire on a cold day, and 3 years to appreciate the pleasure of getting stroked. Never been in the house over night.

Still semi-feral, it brings us mice, sparrows and on one occasion a rabbit almost as big as the cat, alive.
